Wella Professionals is hosting a full hair service salon at the P&G Family Home during Sochi 2014 Olympics, where 12 international Wella stylists and colourists will provide hair services for the athletes and their families.
Representing North America on the hairstyling team are Fay Linksman from Canada, 2013 Wella Professionals North America Trend Vision Color Gold Winner, and Danny Lozada, Sebastian Professional What’s Next Award winner. To mark the occasion, some of the hairstyling team members have created a hairstyle inspired by one of the Winter Olympic sports.
Fay Linksman, Canada
“Figure skating and speed skating—two of my favourite winter sports have inspired me to create two styles. For one, [I demonstrate] the structured elegance of a figure skater and the other, a fast, adrenaline-fueled speed skater.”
Danny Lozada, Puerto Rico
“Defying gravity with its twists, turns and tumbles, snowboarding inspired my look of tumbling curls and bouncy waves. This reflects the half-pipe where snowboarders make history.”
Diana Simonyan, Russia
“I would like to show the crystal beauty of the Russian winter and the unpredictable and surprising Russian soul. I created a style that expresses motion and the will to move forward, just as in skiing.”
Tatyana Shuvalova, Russia
“My inspiration is a strong, purposeful but very elegant and subtle figure skater. Smoothly styled hair reflects the lights when she comes to the ice skating arena and beautifully moves with her motion, giving her confidence so she is inspired to win!”
Julia Apanovich, Russia
“The squared silhouette of the haircut perfectly suits the brutal image of a hockey player. Varnished hair styled from the front to back simulate the urge of the wind and speed.”
Roman Lazarev, Russia
“Beauty, energy, dynamism—that was in my mind when I thought about snowboarding women. But these women also own freedom and grace. Women always want to be beautiful, even after long training sessions.”
