Antonio Corral Calero, global creative director for Moroccanoil, has been working his magic on a multitude of fashion weeks for several seasons, leaving his indelible — always very elegant — mark on many supermodels’ hair.
For fall/winter 2014-15, he steers towards the classics with a vibrant, modern touch. Here are the runway hairstyles he thinks you should mimic this season.
1. Cushnie et Ochs
“My inspiration for the Cushnie Et Ochs collection this season was the concept of ‘reflection,’ emphasizing the rich smoothness of healthy hair, when light radiates off every strand to accent its natural play of light and shadow. These looks are super-smooth, elegant and sophisticated, and they accent a beautifully shaped haircut and vibrant hair colour.”

2. Zac Posen
For Zac Posen’s first ever show in Canada (presented by Suzanne Rogers), Calero was inspired by the alluring elegance of 1940s American film star Veronica Lake. He created soft, structured flowing curls, mimicking peekaboo curls. “We wanted hairstyles reminiscent of Old Hollywood with a contemporary twist,” he says. “This look was the true depiction of timeless feminine elegance.”

3. Delpozo
“The hair is beautiful, strong and dramatic and was inspired by the designer’s vision of Italian artist Duilio Barnabé. The looks are smooth, sleek and asymmetrical, highlighting pure, rounded geometrical form.”
