With Halloween just around the corner, John Nguyen amd Jessica Goguen, education ambassadors for CND, has just released these nail art how-tos that are the perfect finish to your client’s costume.
Jack-O-Lantern
- On a prepared nail, apply two thin layers of CND Vinylux Fine Vermillion.
- Apply Orange Glitter to the entire nail using a flat oval bush.
- Using a detail brush, paint a jack-o-lantern design using Vinylux Black Pool.
- Using a detail brush, paint leaves near the cuticle area using Vinylux Lush Tropics.
- Apply a thin layer of Vinylux Weekly Top Coat.

ack Skeleton
- On a prepared nail, apply two thin layers of Vinylux Cream Puff.
- Apply CND Additives Black around the perimeter of the nail using a flat oval brush.
- Using a detail brush, paint the face of Jack Skeleton using Vinylux Black Pool.
- Apply a thin layer of Vinylux Weekly Top Coat.
Jack-O-Light
- On a prepared nail, apply a thin later of CND Shellac Base Coat and cure.
- Apply two thin layers of CND Shellac Overtly Onyx to the nail, curing after each layer.
- Apply one thin layer of CND Shellac Zillionaire to the entire nail and cure.
- Feather CND Shellac Fine Vermillion in three diagonal brush strokes from top right to the centre of the nail and cure.
- Apply a thin layer of CND Shellac Xpress Top Coat. Do not cure.
- Using tweezers, place Swarovski crystals and matte black stones on the nail and cure. Optional: You can seal large crystals by applying additonial CND Shellac Xpress Top Coat around each crystal using a striping brush and cure.
- Wipe nail with rubbing alcohol to remove film.
