Get spring started on a bright note with these three nail art tutorials using Bio Sculpture’s Happy Hippie shades, created by the Bio Sculpture Canada team.

Free Spirit

You’ll need: Base Gel, Soft Gel, Hard/Medium Gel, Gloss Gel, Color Gels: 194 Dream Catcher, 195 Flower Child, 196 Free Spirit, 197 Bohemian Beauty, 198 Catch the Wind, #4 Delux Brush Flat #17 Delux Nail Art Brush/Upper Arch Brush, Dotting Tool

1. Apply a Bio Sculpture Base Gel Layer and cure.
2. Follow with a grip layer of Soft Gel, but do NOT cure.
3. Draw alternating lines across the nail with Bio Sculpture Color Gels #194, #195, #196, #197 and #198 using the tip of the Nail Art/ Upper Arch Brush. Do NOT cure. Clean bristles after each colour line.
4. Use the tip of the Upper Arch Brush to lightly drag through the wet Gel lines in one direction and cure. Clean bristles after each stroke.
5. Place dots with of Bio Sculpture Color Gels #194, #195 and #198 using the Dotting Tool/Upper Arch Brush/Metal Pick and cure.
6. Create Upper the Arch with Hard Gel or Medium Gel and cure.
7. Apply final layer of Gloss Gel and cure.

Pebbles

You’ll need: Base Gel, Soft Gel, Hard/Medium Gel, Gloss Gel, Color Gels: #1 French White, #196 Free Spirit, #197 Bohemian Beauty, #4 Delux Brush Flat #17 Delux Nail Art Brush/Upper Arch Brush, Dotting Tool, Hex Glitter, Glitter Powder.

1. Apply a Bio Sculpture Base Gel Layer and cure.
2. Apply one layer of French White and cure.
3. Apply #196 Colour Gel to half of the nail (fairly thin layer), using a flat brush, but do NOT cure.
4. Place small dots of Soft Gel onto the wet Colour layer, using the tip of the Upper Arch Brush. Cure. Wait for the Gel on the tip of your brush to form a droplet, and then place it.
5. Apply #197 to the other half of the nail (fairly thin layer), using a flat brush. Do NOT cure.
6. Place small dots of Soft Gel onto the wet Colour layer, using the tip of the Upper Arch Brush and cure.
7. Follow with a layer of Soft Gel. Do NOT cure.
8. Dip the tip of a round brush into gold glitter and dab the glitter densely on the middle of the nail. Do NOT cure.
9. Use the tip of the brush to carefully blend the glitter until the desired effect is achieved and cure.
10. Create Upper the Arch with Hard Gel or Medium Gel and cure.
11. Apply final layer of Gloss Gel and cure.

Embellished

You’ll need: Base Gel, Soft Gel, Hard/Medium Gel, Gloss Gel, Color Gels: #198 Catch The Wind, #4 Delux Brush Flat #17 Delux Nail Art Brush/Upper Arch Brush, Gems, Stones.

1. Apply a Bio Sculpture Base Gel Layer and cure.
2. Apply two layers of #198 Colour Gel and cure each layer.
3. Follow with a layer of Soft Gel, but do NOT cure.
4. Place gems/stones on the wet Gel layer using the tip of the Metal Pick, dipped into Soft Gel.
5. Repeat until you achieve the desired design and cure.
6. Create Upper the Arch with Hard Gel or Medium Gel and cure.
7. Apply final layer of Gloss Gel and cure.
