With summer almost here, your clients are going to want some bright and colourful nail art to go with the sunshiny weather. Here are three nail art tutorials using the Bio Sculpture Carnaval collection, including the latest shade, Rio.
Parade in Paradise
- On a prepared nail, apply a layer of base gel and cure.
- Apply a layer of #178 The Rio, cure and repeat.
- Follow with a gripping layer of soft gel, but do not cure.
- With a #17 nail art brush, draw alternating angled stripes using color gels: 173 Ipanema Sunset and Havana Nights. Use the tip of the upper arch brush to lightly drag though the wet gel lines in one direction.
- Use the tip of the upper arch brush and lightly drag through the wet gel in the opposite direction, cleaning bristles on a dry nail wipe after each stroke, then cure.
- Create the upper arch with hard or medium gel and cure.
- Apply a final layer of gloss gel and cure.
Copacabana
- On a prepared nail, apply a layer of base gel and cure.
- Apply a layer of #178 The Rio, cure and repeat.
- Follow with a gripping layer of soft gel, but do not cure.
- With the small end of a dotting tool apply random dots of 1 French White, but do not cure.
- Use the fine tip of an Upper Arch Brush to lightly drag and swirl through the wet gel and cure.
- Create the upper arch with hard or medium gel and cure.
- Apply a final layer of gloss gel and cure.
Party at the Sambadrome
- On a prepared nail, apply a layer of base gel and cure.
- Apply a layer of #178 The Rio, cure and repeat.
- Follow with a gripping layer of soft gel, but do not cure.
- With the small end of a dotting tool apply random dots of 172 Favela Sunrise, 173 Ipanema Sunset and 175 Havana Nights, but do not cure. Use the fine tip of an upper arch brush to lightly drag and swirl through the wet gel and cure.
- Create the upper arch with hard or medium gel and cure.
- Apply a final layer of gloss gel and cure.
