1. The Material
Most salons use foils, and while they certainly get the colouring job done, Kwickway Thermal Strips use a polystyrene formula, making all the difference. Michael Crispel, co-owner and vice-president of Kwickway and owner of Earth A Salon by Michael Crispel, explains that the material in Kwickway Thermal Strips is “25 per cent lighter than any other product on the market.”
2. The Process
“From a scientific standpoint, [the material] allows us to process faster. Foils reflect heat and Kwickway Thermal Strips retain heat, so we can use room temperature to our advantage because a lot of brands are now recommending no heat during the colouring process,” explains Crispel.
3. The Comfort
Your clients come to you to help them look their best, but the colouring process is not the most comfortable. Since the strips are much more lightweight, when your client is getting a full head of highlights, there’s less weight on them during processing. In addition, Crispel explains that Kwickway Thermal Strips have “certain angles that can be cut to prevent them from being draped over your client’s face.”
