You’ll Need
CND Shellac Base Coat
CND Shellac in Cream Puff, Fedora
CND Additives in Bright Red
Striping tape
Gel flat oval brush
Step 1
Prep the nail by cleansing hands and nails, shaping the extension edge, eliminating surface contaminants and purifying the nail plate.
Step 2
Apply the base coat and cure for 10 seconds. Apply CND Shellac Cream Puff and cure for two minutes.
Step 3
Use striping tape to block off the design by placing three, equally spaced stripes down the length of the nail. Apply more striping tape from the left side to the centre on a slight diagonal. Repeat from the right side towards the centre so that the left and right meet in a point.
Step 4
Apply CND Shellac Fedora over the entire nail, leaving one square empty, and cure for two minutes. Dip the tip of the gel flat oval brush into CND Additives Bright Red and brush onto the empty square. Remove the striping tape and cure the nail. If needed, clean up stripes with a detail brush dipped in isopropyl alcohol.
Step 5
Apply the top coat and cure for two minutes.
