What & Who: From the catwalk to the salon, Schwarzkopf LA-based stylist Tyler Colton and Toronto-based Paul Pereira introduced four runway trends inspired by the Essential Looks collection. Eccentric Heritage is a mashup of the military, country and feminine with a strong fringe with blunt lines with less layering. The second look, 60’s Twist, is a beautiful take on the long and loose silhouette, created with the new BlondMe Crystal Gel Lightening System, resulting in a crisp, neutral Nordic blonde. Black, black, and more black is what Neo Culture is about, with an inky androgynous undercut with hints of blue and purple. Orietnal Express is captures the hypnotic with punchy and bright with the force of an intense plum-red and accented pink.
Highlights: Colton cites Miley Cyrus as THE celeb representing the modern hair trends, which involves fewer hair extensions and less fullness in favour of a modern, malleable, textured short cut. Osis Rough Rubber is a pomade that emulsifies and works through hair to give texture and add moisture.
The Schwazkopf stylists also reveal the newest way to add temporary colour with hair chalking using sidewalk chalk. It’s available in an array of colours that are fun and easy to use without the commitment.
When & Where: September 20 at the ASK Academy, Toronto
