The 91st annual America’s Beauty Show, produced by Chicago Cosmetologists, welcome 55,000 salon professionals to Chicago’s McCormick Place for a weekend of top-tier education, trend-spotting and shopping in the exhibit hall (which featured 450+ manufacturers and distributors).
Huge names in hairdressing flew in from around the world to present on the ABS stage, including Tracey Hughes, and Joey Scandizzo for Wella; Omar Antonio and Marylle Koken for Sebastian; Leonardo Rocco and Teri Dougherty for Alloxi; Nick Irwin of TIGI; Sam Villa for Redken; Martin Parson; Kimberley Kimble; and Mark Hayes, along with the Sassoon Creative Team.
The second annual All Star Trend panel, moderated by Wella Professionals VP of Education Fabio Sementilli, had top industry experts–such as Jan Arnold from CND, John Simpson from Goldwell, and more—share insights into the businesses’ next big trends and how beauty professionals could use this information to advance their careers.
ABS also handed out its Rising STARS and STARS Photo Contest Awards (presented by Luis Alvarez) at the 3rd Annual BeautyBash party, as well as the 2014 L.E.O. Awards (presented by Pivot Point International).
The 2015 show will take place March 21 – 23 at McCormick Place in downtown Chicago.
