Who: America’s Beauty Show brought together over 50,000 salon professionals for a weekend of beauty education and inspiration. Incredible presentations were put on by some of the biggest names in the industry, including Nick Arrojo, Beth Minardi, Angelo Seminara, Tabatha Coffey, Wayne Grund, Rocky Vitelli and Leonel Rodriguez, and Mark Hayes.
What: Here are some highlights from the weekend!
Canadian platform artists who presented included Timothy Switzer showing off his take on Goldwell’s new Fascinature collection, Daniel Di Tomasso for Sebastian and Rossa Jurenas and Jean Sebastian Lacombe for Schwarzkopf Professional on SKP’s new stage.
A big shout-out to Pivot Point that celebrated their 50th anniversary, right in Chicago, the birthplace of the company. Known for its legendary cutting method, Pivot Point put together a beautiful lookbook of iconic styles that is truly a hairstylist’s collector’s item.
Jan Arnold, founder of CND, and her creative team wowed the crowd with a fashion-forward performance featuring 39 nail designs in 40 minutes based on trends created for Spring/Summer 2012 runway. Attendees were also invited to a hands-on seminar to learn how to re-create the styles.
The show floor featured booths from some of the biggest brands, including American Crew, FHI Heat, Kenra, Keratin Complex, Moroccanoil, Pravana, Schwarzkopf Professional, Sebastian Professional, TIGI and many more. Some new and exciting brands include ONE, It Factor, and Neuma Beauty, to name a few.
