See the top hair ‘dos that will be making a splash this season in and out of the salon.
The Extreme Side Part
Business on one side and a party on the other is going to be a huge trend this spring. Rihanna recently shaved one half of her head and had extensions put in on the other, so you know this is going to be a big with your clients. If they’re not brave enough, a deep side part will do.
Spotted at: Rodarte, Derek Lam and Marc Jacobs.
Retro Perfection
While fall’s Mad Men-inspired updos were messy and somewhat disheveled, we’re spotting a return to super clean retro ‘dos with lots of volume at the crown. Beehives at the office anyone?
Spotted at: Louis Vuitton, Oscar de la Renta and Tom Ford.
The Low Swoop
It’s not quite as loose as a ponytail, but it isn’t as tight as a bun. We’re dubbing this hair trend the ‘Low Swoop’, and it’s an easy way to look chic anywhere. Keep it clean and simple and near the nape of the neck or give it a bit of a curl with a big barrel iron.
Spotted at: Bottega Veneta, Chloe and Valentino.
Loose and Undone
Slept through your alarm and late for work? No problem, natural locks that have an “I just woke up” look are a huge hit this season. Try a centre part if you have gentle waves, or a deep side part and let some hair fall in front of your face, if you have more curly textured strands.
Spotted at: Narcisco Rodriguez, Dries Van Noten, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and pretty much every other runway show.
