World Cup fever is winding down, but that doesn’t mean the nail art has to stop. Sarah O’Brien, Educator at Bio Sculpture, has created some fun World Cup-inspired looks and shows you the step-by-step process on how to create three sporty ones for your clients.

Brazilian Color Blocking

Gels & Tools Used: Bio Sculpture Base Gel, Soft Gel, Hard/Medium Gel, Gloss Gel, Color Gels #133 Isla Del Sol, #135 Appletini, #175 Havana Nights, Upper Arch Brush, #17 Deluxe Nail Art Brush, Silver Hex Glitter.

1. On a prepared nail, apply a layer of Base Gel. Cure.

2. Create the first color block starting at the cuticle using #135 Appletini. Cure.

3. Using #133 Isla Del Sol, create the second color block. Cure.

4. Using #175 Havana Nights, create the third color block at the free edge. Cure.

5. Apply a thin coat of Soft Gel. Do not Cure.

6. Place Silver Hex Glitter pieces in between each color block.

7. Create Upper Arch with Hard or Medium Gel depending on the client’s nail type. Cure.

8. Apply final layer of Gloss Gel. Cure.

9. Remove sticky residue.

10. Apply Cuticle Oil and perform hand massage.

Brazilian Flag

Gels & Tools Used: Base Gel, Hard/Medium Gel, Gloss Gel, Color Gels #3 Snow White, #135 Appletini, #133 Isla del Sol, #175 Havana Nights, Upper Arch Brush, #17 Deluxe Nail Art Brush.

1. On a prepared nail, apply a layer of Base Gel. Cure.

2. Apply color gel #135 Appletini. Cure and repeat.

3. With an Upper Arch Brush or #17 Deluxe Nail Art Brush and color gel #133 Isla del Sol, create a diamond in the center of the nail. Cure.

4. With an Upper Arch Brush or #17 Deluxe Nail Art Brush and color gel #175 Havana Nights create a circle in the center of the yellow diamond. Cure.

5. With an Upper Arch Brush or #17 Deluxe Nail Art Brush and color gel #3 Snow White, create the line and dots within the circle completing the flag design.

6. Create Upper Arch with Hard or Medium Gel depending on the client’s nail type. Cure.

7. Apply final layer of Gloss Gel. Cure.

8. Remove sticky residue.

Soccer Time

Gels & Tools Used: Base Gel, Hard/Medium Gel, Gloss Gel, Color Gels #3 Snow White, #2017 Liquorice, Gloss Gel, Upper Arch Brush, #17 Deluxe Nail Art Brush.

1. On a prepared nail, apply a layer of Base Gel. Cure.

2. Apply color gel #3 Snow White to nail. Cure and repeat.

3. With Upper Arch Brush or #17 Deluxe Nail Art Brush and color gel #2017 Liquorice, create a pentagon in the middle of the nail, at each corner connect a line and follow it through to the edge of the nail.  At the free edge a triangle simulating the tip of the next pentagon on the ball, on each line do the same only smaller.

4. Create Upper Arch with Hard or Medium Gel depending on the client’s nail type. Cure.

5. Apply final layer of Gloss Gel. Cure.

6. Remove sticky residue.

7. Apply Cuticle Oil and perform hand massage.
