It was a scissors showdown at this year’s OMC Hairworld. The renowned hairstyling competition was held in Seoul, South Korea, where some of the top international hairstylists battled it out for a prestigious medal and title of world champion.
This year, Canada won four medals including two gold medals for Master Ladies Progressive Cut/Style champion by Kenneth Michael Hiebert and Ladies Progressive Cut/Style champion by former Contessa winner Lina Shamoun of Artline Salon.
Former Contessa finalist Dee Fortier of Deeva Hair won a silver medal for Master Ladies Progressive Cut/Style. A bronze medal went to Adrian Minella of Trenz Hair Studio for Ladies Progressive Cut/Style, and Julia Falvo of Valvano Salon Spa placed fifth in the Ladies Progressive Cut/Style category.
The OMC Hairworld hairstyling competition is held every two years, with over 1,500 competitors from around the world.
