Kevin O’Regan, a well-known Canadian beauty industry businessman, passed away on June 13, surrounded by his family. O’Regan was the owner of O’Regan Agencies Ltd., Newfoundland’s largest professional salon product distributor. He also served as President of Allied Beauty Association, and was heavily involved with the organization for years.
“Kevin (senior) was an amazing man: he was kind, generous always there for the salon owner. It’s incredible to think he and his company, O’Regan Beauty, served Newfoundland salons for over 55 years,” says Laura Dunphy, publisher and president of Salon Communications Inc., who knew O’Regan for many years. “Kevin was a leader in the salon industry – not just in Newfoundland – and was well-respected and loved throughout Canada and US. He was a true visionary and always kept his finger on the pulse of the salon.”
O’Regan was very passionate about giving back. Many of his initiatives with the Jaycees, Elks, Rotary and children’s charities, like the Autism Centre, made a difference to his local community. Donations to the Special Olympics Newfoundland and Labrador (www.sonl.ca) will be gratefully accepted in his memory.
