Capping a weekend of beautiful hair, lots of competition and a look at the trends for 2013, the winners of Wella’s International Trend Vision Awards were announced in Madrid on Sunday night. Canadian national Color winner, Philip Ferreira, beat out 49 other competitors to take home gold in the category on the international stage! In the 10 years since ITVA was founded, Ferreira, of Axis Salon in Vancouver, is Canada’s first international winner. Ferreira interpreted the Celeste trend, with a beautiful outcome.
“This was the most incredible experience,” said Ferreira of winning. “I could never have imagined such an amazing moment To be in the presence of people as talented as Eugene [Souleiman] and Josh [Wood] not only inspires me, but feeds my drive to evolve further. When they announced Canada, I felt proud to bring home the gold. All doors are now open and I can only hope to inspire young talent to compete in this incredible competition. What a journey. P&G has outdone themselves once again.”
Congratulations also go to Rémi Cardin of Ode Salon Styliste in Trois-Rivières, QC, who represented Canada in the Young Talent category.
