It was a first for Canada to be the invited delegation at the super select Haute Coiffure Française collections unveiling in Paris, on September 15, at the Caroussel du Louvres. Aptly entitled ‘Made in Canada’, the 30-minute show featured three segments evocative of our natural heritage: Winter Frost, Petrolium and Metallic Water.
On stage was a team featuring the best names in Canadian hairstyling, including Anna Pacitto, Daniel Benoit, Daniel Fiorio, Frank Cini, Gaël Betts, Guylaine Martel, Heather Scratch, Isabelle Lachance, Louis Hechter, and Tony Ricci.
It was the biggest delegation Haute Coiffure Française has ever hosted, with 100 people working on the show and a team of 57 artists. “Our talent is definitely world-class,” says Sylvie Livet of Haute Coiffure Française, Canada, “HCF President Francis L. Rhod was extremely proud of the breathtaking presentation. Our stylists have certainly raised the stakes on the international stage, and art direction duo Pascal & Jérémie created the perfect canvas to showcase such incredible hair.”
Anna Pacitto, who was also Artistic Director for the presentation, says: “I am so proud of this team… After working so hard together despite the distance between us and different points of view, we put our egos aside to work together towards the ultimate goal.”
