With all eyes on the red carpet during this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, Dee Dagher, lead stylist for Rowenta Beauty, weighs in on how to re-create some of the hottest hair. 

Selena Gomez 

This is one of my favorite looks on Selena. The style perfectly suits her, as it’s casual and youthful but still red carpet appropriate.

Recreate this look: Use Rowenta Beauty Curl Active to add some wave to the hair and sweep over to one side and secure with a bobby pin. The result? An elegant look that can be created in minutes but has major impact.

Zhang Ziyi 

Who said short hair can’t make a splash on the red carpet? This minimalist ‘do is the epitome of simple elegance.

Recreate this look: Use Rowenta Beauty Professional Titanium Ceramic Flat Iron to smooth out the hair. Then mix together a little soft hold gel and shine serum and slather onto a comb and run it through the hair. This will take any short cut to new heights, giving it a 1950s glam feel.

Kristen Stewart

This half-up-half-down look is simple yet very fashion-forward. I especially love this ‘do when paired with a strong pattern, like Kristen’s floral frock.

Halle Berry

Leave it to Halle to make any hair length look like a million bucks! She has grown out the top section of her hair so that she can have a little more fun with it, while keeping the rest short and sweet.

Kirsten Dunst

Nothing reads “TIFF glamour” like a beautiful, clean blow-out! Sometimes less is more and in this case it works amazingly on Kirsten’s long blonde locks.

Recreate this look: Use Rowenta Beauty Infini Pro Auto Sensor Dryer to blow out hair with a large round brush. When damp, hair should be divided into small sections and then dried with the brush, alternating between hot & cold hair. Use a shine finishing spray to give the hair A-List sparkle, and finish by tucking locks behind the ears. Coiffed to perfection! 

Marion Cotillard

Completely love this look! A modern take on the classic French twist. This style is absolutely timeless, and Marion showcases it with grace and glamour.

Divide the hair into two sections, placing one in front of the ear and one behind the other ear. Tease the section of hair behind the ear, then lightly combing it to hide any fly-aways. Twist and secure this section into a French twist, securing it with bobby pins. Now take the section in front of the ear and comb it over so that it connects with the French twist. This can be lightly secured with a wide hair pin. This ‘do is a little more challenging to achieve, but the outcome is certainly worth the effort!

Christina Hendricks 

This voluminous, soft ‘do has been a major red carpet staple this season. Casual and sexy!

When finished curling, toss the hair upside down and either fluff the hair with your hands or use a wide tooth comb to further loosen and separate the waves. Finish with a medium hold spray. Simple and head-turning!
