We travelled to Bologna, Italy on March 15, 2018 for the world’s leading B2B trade show, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna.
The international event included more than 250,000 guests and achieved record-breaking numbers, with exhibitors from 70 different countries.
Among the show’s many highlights, we got a chance to see some of the latest trends, includingeco-friendly niche brands that showcased a wide range of sustainable products with rustic “green” packaging.
Along with the continuation of barbering trends, we saw some unique cutting and styling tools, such as a split-end trimmer and “cold-fusion” technology flat-irons. We also noticed some eye-catching opalescent hair products that might just be one of the next big trends to watch for in hair colour.
“A lively event full of proposals, from the industrial supply chain to retail, a real glance on the world of cosmetics, in a synthesis that no other fair in the world can guarantee,” says Gianpiero Calzolari, president of BolognaFiere.
Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2018 also brought in impressive results for Boutique, Cosmoprof’s charity initiative in which 20 companies participated—resulting in sold-out products during the beginning of the show.
This initiative, dedicated to the former vice-president of BolognaFiere, Roberto Kerkoc, who passed away in 2017, donates proceeds to Istituto Scientifico Romagnolo per lo Studio e la Cura dei Tumori (IRST), a research institute for cancer located in Emilia Romagna, Italy.
Stay tuned for the next gathering—Cosmoprof North America (CPNA), which will take place this summer in Las Vegas. See you there!
