L.A., city of angels, was the tantalising backdrop Italian brand Davines chose as the location for the latest edition of its world tour.
At the heart of this three-day event that took place January 17-19 2016 at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown L.A. were breathtaking presentations by Anna Pacitto, leader of the Canadian artistic Davines team, with an outlandishly creative presentation titled Unexpected inspired by the circus; Angelo Seminara, Davines Artistic Director, and other highly skilled artists from around the world.

Sustainable Beauty
Renown for its sustainable approach to professional beauty, Davines also chose this opportunity to reward individuals who are having a tangible impact in making the world a better, more beautiful place though the I Sustain Beauty project. Davide Bollati, Chairman and owner of Davines, handed out awards to Salvatore Giaquinta from Lima, Peru, for his social initiative to educate and empower women living in poverty; and to Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, an advocate for traditional Vietnamese theatre now in decline.

Canada Wins Big!
And since no international hairstyling event is complete without a competition to further push the boundaries of modern hairstyling, the Davines World Style Contest 2016 saw the crowning glory of Quebec-based Maggie Semaan from salon Nüva. Congrats Maggie!
