This sustainable hair salon—established in October 2009 by co-directors Pedro Inchenko and Johnny Othona—spans four beautifully finished floors. As a Davines flaship in the UK, the salon sought to preserve the heritage of the building (like keeping the original stained glass windows) while making it as eco-efficient as possible when it was redesigned. Much of the salon’s furniture is vintage and reclaimed pieces. (The reception desk was originally an apple press.) But it’s all the details that make this salon a standout: an artist was commissioned to create a one-of-a-kind wallpaper design for the backwash area ceiling so clients can look at something visually stimulating while getting a rinse.
