Matrix releases their latest: the eight-piece Oil Wonders collection, proving that the oil craze isn’t stopping yet.

The Collection: Consisting of eight products, the Matrix Oil Wonders collection, available September, includes both at-home and in-salon products to complete the experience. The lineup has cleansing and styling products: Matrix Oil Wonders Micro-Oil Shampoo, Oil Conditioner and Shaping Oil Cream; three curated dry oils including Amazonian Murumuru Controlling Oil, Indian Amla Strengthening Oil and Egyptian Hibiscus Color Caring Oil; and, of course, the two hero products that make salon life that much easier, the Flash Blow Dry Oil and Sharp Cut Oil.

The entire collection promises to leave hair smooth, sleek and hydrated, but the Sharp Cut Oil replaces the need to re-wet hair throughout the cutting process and also aims to reduce friction when cutting hair by giving it a smooth coating for the scissors to glide down with less pull. Follow it up with the Flash Blow Dry Oil that helps hair dry in half the time and send it home with your clients to help speed up their style time too.

The Ingredients: The entire collection is infused with Moroccan argan oil, providing ample moisture while leaving hair smooth. Plus, each of the dry oils is packed with its own signature ingredient to deliver a specific benefit. Egyptian Hibiscus Color Caring Oil brings ultimate shine and vibrancy to colour-treated hair and helps to prevent colour from fading. The Amazonian Murumuru Controlling Oil is inspired by the humidity in the Amazon Jungle and offers full frizz control and humidity prevention while protecting hair from heat damage. The Indian Amla Strengthening Oil nourishes and repairs brittle strands prone to breakage, leaving hair smooth and strong.

The Treatments: Introduce the lineup of products to clients and boost your retail sales with three short in-salon treatments from Matrix using each of the dry oils.

Deep Egyptian Cocooning Wrap:

1. Wash hair with the Matrix Micro-Oil Shampoo. Rinse, towel dry.

2. Blend the Egyptian Hibiscus Oil and Oil Conditioner. Apply.

3. Part the hair in two.

4. Wrap the hair around the head and then cover with a warm towel.

5. Leave on for 2 minutes and then rinse with warm water to seal in shine.

6. Finish with the Flash Blow Dry Spray and style as the client desires.

Smooth Amazonian Immersion:

1. Wash hair with the Matrix Micro-Oil Shampoo. Rinse, towel dry.

2. Mix the Amazonian Murumuru Oil and Oil Conditioner.

3. Apply mixture from scalp to ends using a bowl and brush.

4. Comb through with fingers to ensure complete saturation.

5. Leave on for 3 minutes and rinse.

6. Blend the Oil with the Shaping Oil Cream and apply to damp hair. Style as the client desires.

Strengthening Indian Champi:

1. Section dry hair into four quadrants.

2. Apply Indian Amla Oil to palms. Warm for 3 seconds.

3. Work the oil into the scalp, using quick circular motions. With your thumbs, slide to the neck and massage toward the top of the head in circular motion.
Run your fingers along the scalp and gently pull small tufts of hair, helping to relieve muscle tension. Repeat and massage for 4 minutes.

4. Cleanse hair with the Micro-Oil Shampoo and Oil Conditioner.

5. Finish with the Flash Blow Dry Spray and style as the client desires.
