James Marsden looked casually suave on the red carpet at the 2017 SAG Awards. Here’s how to get the look.

Actor James Marsden, nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for Westworld at this year’s SAG Awards, was channelling #ManCrushMonday on the red carpet. His tousled hair was styled by editorial stylist David Stanwell for Oribe Hair Care. Here are Stanwell’s tips for recreating the effortlessly dapper look:

  1. Begin with wet hair. Prep hair by applying texturizing mousse and/or thickening spray throughout. (See the slideshow below to find the exact products Stanwell used.)
  2. Dry hair using a diffuser until it is about 80 per cent dry. Allow the hair to naturally dry the rest of the way.
  3. Once dry, use a small, round brush and smooth the ends around the edges.
  4. Last step: For definition and hold, shape hair with fingers and apply a molding wax.
