For the first time in history, three Canadians bring home four of the five prizes at the Haute Coiffure Française Trophy!
Third Place went to Chanel Laporte (who also won the L’Oréal prize for colour), of Guylaine Martel Artistes Coiffeur, St-Hilaire, QC; Second Place went to Silas Tsang of Salon Blushes, Ottawa, and First Place went to Paulina Truong, of Salon Blue Gemini, Edmonton. Sandy Hogue, who won the Contessa Quebec Stylist of the year in 2013, was also among the 10 finalists onstage.
Every year, the HCF Trophy attracts over 100 participants from more than 20 countries, and 10 finalists are selected to showcase their creations onstage in Paris. ‘The level of talent is increasing with each edition of the Trophy, and our Canadian stylists were incredible this year!,’ says Christian Livet, President of Haute Coiffure Française, Canada. He also points out that it is not a requirement to be a member of the HCF to participate in the competition.
