Who: Juan Perez, east coast hairstylist, and industry friends.

What: A fundraiser to help financially support Juan Perez, who was diagnosed with a serious illness. Friends and family have organized a benefit to help financially support him during this difficult time. There will be live music and a silent auction to raise funds.

How & Why: Juan Perez immigrated to Canada two decades ago from Cuba. He found a home as an assistant at The Head Room in St. John’s, even though he spoke no English and had no contacts. He has gone on to find great success in the industry, winning numerous competitions (including Canadian Hairstylist of the Year in 2004) and became an International Platform Artist with Goldwell. Juan is loved not only for this work, but also for his infectious laugher and fun attitude.
