As salons have reopened across the country, Henkel North America has announced Beauty Care United – Standing Together with Stylists, a campaign that’s aimed at helping to bring back the “unity” in the salon community.
With the help of Henkel’s professional brands, Schwarzkopf Professional, Alterna, Joico, Kenra, #mydentity, Pravana, SexyHair and Zotos Professional, the program is designed to support salons and hairstylists by giving them motivational tools and education to help them navigate through this “new normal.”
As of August 28, salons and stylists have been invited to go to BeautyCareUnited.com for hair tutorial technique videos and to download the Beauty Care United Virtual Kit, which is filled with express-service tutorials and how-tos from top artists such as Larisa Love, Liz Haven, Lo Wheeler, Aspen Rate Tengler and more. In addition to the tutorials, the Beauty Care United toolkit includes ready-made printable and digital creative marketing assets that salons can leverage to support their reopening.
According to Stefan Mund, regional head of Henkel Beauty Care Professional NA, in this challenging time, “encouraging stylists and customer confidence can be an important part of the salon reopening process.” The industry needs a sense of community now more than ever, and bringing stylists together can help increase confidence, create a support system, encourage the sharing of tips and ideas.
Henkel recommends that all salons continue to follow CDC recommendations and local government orders for salon hygiene and cleaning. To encourage this, the Beauty Care United campaign and salon program will also be gifting care packages of items, which include a box of gloves, a bag of face shields, a box of masks, a box of disposable capes and cleaning products, to some of Henkel Beauty Care Professional North America’s most loyal salon/stylist customers.
