Intercoiffure Mondial, the prestigious, international hairstyling organization that aims to inspire, educate and unite hairstylists, has knighted Candy Shaw, founder of Sunlights and owner of Atlanta-based salon, Jamison Shaw Hairdressers.
Shaw was knighted at Intercoiffure’s Chevalerie Ceremony, which was held during a black-tie gala in Saint-Tropez, France on July 1st.
The Knight Award is presented to those who have “given exceptional service within the national organization of Intercoiffure,” and Shaw was inducted as a Knight in recognition of her achievements as an educator, as well as her contributions to the international hair community and Intercoiffure America/Canada.
The gala was followed by a party at Pampelonne Beach, which is one of the Riviera’s most famous beaches. The celebration continued the next day with a white party that spotlighted fashion shows and hair trends.
In addition to her Knight award, Shaw’s other achievements include Pivot Points’ Leo Passage Educator of the Year award, two-time recipient of Intercoiffure Mondial’s Personality of the Yea’ award in Paris, Female Entrepreneur of the Year award, Small Businessperson of the Year award and NAHA Educator of the Year finalist.
