The 73rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards were held Sunday, September 19 and celebrity hairstylists Christine Symonds and Mara Roszak created beautiful red carpet looks for Kayley Cuoco and Annie Murphy, respectively. Take a look at how to recreate these looks for your clients!
Get the look: Kaley Cuoco
Hairstylist: Clairol Professional celebrity stylist ambassador Christine Symonds
STEP 1: I prepped Cuoco’s hair with Clairol’s Shimmer Lights Thermal Shine Sprayand the Clairol Shimmer Lights Leave-In styling treatment.
STEP 2: I then blow dried the hair and set with clips to create volume and movement.
STEP 3: I then put one row of Hidden Crown Seamless Hair Clip-in Light Ash Blonde and pulled the hair back into a ponytail.
STEP 4: Then I pulled out a few pieces around the face to soften the look and frame her face with her fringe.
Celebrity: Annie Murphy
Hairstylist: Wella Professionals celebrity stylist ambassador Mara Roszak
STEP 1: I started by applying styling oil to her damp ends & mid lengths for smoothing and shine.
STEP 2: For volume at the roots, I applied Wella Professionals EIMI Root Shoot Precise Root Mousse then blew dry Murphy’s hair with the ghd helios professional hair dryer and ghd ceramic vented radial brush in size 3, leaving a natural movement in her hair.
STEP 3: Next, to create waves, I alternated between the ghd unplugged styler to create S waves and ghd curve soft curl iron for loose waves. Using both the styler and iron to style the hair creates more volume and texture.
STEP 4: Once her hair was all waved, I sprayed Wella Professionals EIMI Dry Me Dry Shampoo all over to break up waves and add a beautiful soft “lived in” texture.
STEP 5: I then finished the look off with hairspray for added hold and shine!
