New Year, New Neuma! The brand has named Kathy Simon as its global artistic director.
Formerly the Canadian Essential Looks artistic director for Schwarzkopf Professional, Simon is the founder of the Mekka System of Education, a comprehensive program that teaches geometric and structural cutting principles. The Montreal-based hairstylist was also named the Elite Master Hairstylist of the Year at the 2017 Contessa Awards.
In her new role, Simon will lead Neuma’s creative direction, including the brand’s design teams and development of new digital education platforms.
“Kathy Simon’s wealth of experience is a welcome addition to Neuma’s education team,” said Lawrence Salazar, head of education for Neuma. “The foundation to our education has focused on the diversity among salons, stylists and clients. Kathy’s talents and artistic direction will continue to focus on that diversity and, at the same time, expand and elevate Neuma’s education offerings.”
