Kevin.Murphy, along with the Liquid Luxuries division of TBBS, held its three-day educational event from October 2 to 4 at Blue Mountain in Collingwood, Ontario. The event kicked off with a cocktail party and presentation by Kevin Murphy himself, with introductions to the brand’s four guest artists and educators who would be hosting their own educational seminars throughout the weekend. On stage, Kevin Murphy showed off the brand’s latest innovation, Doo.Over, as well as some of the looks seen at Australia Fashion Week.
At the education seminars, attendees rotated in a round-robin fashion to hit all four throughout the weekend. Tony Ricci, Contessa 27 Elite Master finalist and Contessa 26 Canadian Hairstylist of the Year winner, led Shoot.Me, which focused on creating cutting-edge looks for print, Sue Remes, owner of Sue Remes resources and consultant to Kevin.Murphy, went through some of the business tips on targeting your client on more than just their regular services in Join.Me, Tim McClean, Kevin.Murphy Cutting.Master, led Cut.Me, going through some of the brand’s upcoming cutting techniques and Kate Reid, education director for Kevin.Murphy Color.Me, went through the lineup and showed attendees how to create some on-trend looks with the entire portfolio.
