Lauren Chaytor, daughter of The Hair Connection salon owner Brenda Chaytor, started the Seal with Hope foundation to give back to her community.
The foundation helps raise money for cancer patients and their families in need of air and ground transportation to hospitals in Newfoundland & Labrador.
To help support the cause, Kao Canada hosted a KMS California styling event with all proceeds donated to the foundation.
Held in March at the Hampton Inn in St. John’s, the styling class was led by KMS California’s art director (and Contessa winner!) Edwin Johnston and art team stylist Ali Pike.
More than 20 clients participated in the full-day class, which included KMS IQ up-styling techniques as well as a complimentary lunch.
The event raised $3,000 for the foundation. “With both passion and empathy, we have turned this goal into a dedicated commitment in making a difference for numerous individuals and their families,” says Nadara Budden, sales and education manager for Kao Canada.
