Conair Corporation has recently announced the passing of its co-founder and chairman of the board, Leandro P. Rizzuto, who passed away on December 3, 2017 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our leader. Mr. Rizzuto was a man who loved life and people and deeply loved our company. He was our leader, mentor and teacher, encouraging those around him to always strive to do more than we thought we could do, and be greater than we thought we could be,” said Ronald T. Diamond, president of Conair Corporation.
Rizzuto co-founded Conair in 1959 with his parents. For more than 50 years, the family has transformed the small hair appliance brand into an international corporation that is sold and marketing in more than 125 countries.
Diamond says the company plans on honouring its late founder by continuing to develop product innovations with state-of-the-art technology to improve usability for its professional and consumer clientele.
