Christoph Kaul has been named Olaplex’s new CEO, succeeding Amanda Baldwin, who has overseen the professional haircare brand’s growth since 2023.
Earlier this year, Olaplex was acquired by Henkel, where Kaul has earned more than 13 years of experience, most recently as the regional head of strategy and transformation in the U.S. He also spent more than five years working for L’Oréal.
In his new role with Olaplex, Kaul will be focusing on innovation. “It is a special opportunity to build on the extraordinary foundation created by Amanda Baldwin and her entire team,” he says. “I have tremendous respect for what they have built, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to carry that work forward.”
