More than 3,500 hairstylists and salon owners descended on Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas for the annual Paul Mitchell Gathering event on August 12 and 13. The goal of the two-day event is to inspire stylists with educational workshops, main stage shows and networking opportunities.
This year’s show didn’t disappoint. John Paul Mitchell Systems CEO and Co-founder John Paul DeJoria opened the event by making a grand entrance on a Harley-Davidson, before discussing some of the company’s charity initiatives to the crowd. Top stylists, like Robert Cromeans, created several fashion-forward segments, some of which featured the new shines XG® no-ammonia demi-permanent colour and Neuro™ Tools (both launching this fall). There were also live musical performances from LMFAO guitarist Jaxon Blak, blues-rock band Vintage Trouble, and violinist Jason Yang.
