Pivot Point International, a leader in beauty education, has launched the “Look for the Tag” campaign, which raises awareness about ethical manufacturing, specifically for educational mannequins made in SA8000-Certified facilities.
The campaign is centred around an influential and emotion-filled documentary dedicated to the respect of human rights, and features iconic industry spokespersons including Christopher Dove, John Simpson, Vivienne Mackinder, Eden Sassoon, Nick Stenson and Sam Villa.
“The SA8000 certification affords our partners the confidence that our educational hair goods are produced in sanctioned conditions,” said Robert Passage, Pivot Point Chairman and CEO. “We believe it matters to manufacture in a facility that protects workers along every step of the supply chain.”
Pivot Point’s SA8000 certification ensures the quality of goods produced in their hair-manufacturing facilities are achieved while taking care of the well-being of their workers by providing a healthy and safe work environment, with zero tolerance for discrimination.
Dove, co-founder of CoCre8 Education, is also featured on the film and says, “I don’t think as human beings we’re fully aware that we are accountable for our own actions. Supporting people who are making us more aware of how people are being treated in different countries is a way of moving forward and making the world a better place.”
