Last night, music icons came together to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Grammy Awards in New York City. Along with fantastic performances, stars also stunned the red carpet with fabulous hair and beauty looks. Here are a few that caught our attention.
Rita Ora
Old Hollywood glam is a staple on the red carpet, but I loved Rita Ora’s modern interpretation with slicked-back waves—the perfect, understated accessory to her black velvet Ralph & Russo gown. A sleek cat-eye and bold burgundy lip really tied the look together for a classic yet sexy look. — Veronica Boodhan, managing editor
Lada Gaga
Bold is an understatement for Lady Gaga, who took the red carpet by storm with a black lace gown and fierce eye makeup. Her pièce de résistance was a unique corset braid which tied her gothic-inspired look together beautifully. — Lucy Mazzucco, digital editorial coordinator
Janelle Monae
Janelle Monae’s super sleek two-toned pixie hit the mark adorned with the perfect hit of sparkle. Plus, her strong brows, and metallic eye palate added elegance and glamour to her overall style. — Anna Lee Boschetto, editor-in-chief
Lana Del Rey
Reigning retro queen Lana Del Rey lived up to her vintage look at the Grammys this year with a true model moment wearing a high glam beaded gown (Gucci) accessorized with a silver star halo. Lana traded her signature bouffant hair for a more current shiny bob, simply parted in the middle. To offset all that sparkle, her makeup was subdued with just a hint of black liner on the eyelids and nude pillowy lips. — Yasmin Grothé, editor-in-chief (French)
Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus is no stranger to making statements on the red carpet. This year, she opted for a simple yet classic look; a black velvet jumpsuit and delicate makeup which put a spotlight on her Old Hollywood-inspired waves. — Lucy Mazzucco, digital editorial coordinator
