Paul Mitchell’s annual education event, The Gathering, brought together innovation, education and entertainment, as well as over 3000 stylists and salon owners. Inspired by the Beatles song, the theme of The Gathering was “rEvolution,” a nod to the evolution of the industry, with a number of on-stage presentations—complete with musical and dance performances—and hands-on education workshops throughout the two-day event. The macadamia oil-inspired company has rebranded itself as Macadamia Professional, which will cater to all hair types and styles and is moving away from the oil-only persona. Along with the new name will be the new sleeker packaging and website.
