Going Full Circle: Known for its global initiatives, Kevin.Murphy has joined forces with Green Circle Salons. Together they’ll champion sustainability from the production level through to salon services and waste management while working with participating salons and stylists to help fulfill the Green Circle mission of a sustainable beauty industry.
Fresh Start: Toronto’s Sassoon Salon moved from its Avenue Road location to the esteemed Yorkville neighbourhood this August. With the prestigious Sassoon Academy operating on the third floor of the 3,000 square feet three-story space, this new salon encapsulates, with true Sassoon style, the company’s commitment to excellence, creativity, and inherent beauty.
Back to School: Fuel, lead by an international team of beauty professionals with a passion for day-to-day cutting and upstyling needs, has launched and seeks
to educate and equip stylists with tangible skills and techniques, quality performance products and tools to take from the classroom directly onto the floor the very next day.
It’s a Revolution: Using Paul Mitchell’s six economies service marketing tips, this year’s rEvolution was an opportunity for beauty industry professionals to refresh their skills, generate new ways of doing business and creatively tell their stories both in and out of the salon.
#TOMFW: As the eighth men’s fashion week world wide, Toronto Men’s Fashion Week shines a global spotlight on Canadian menswear. American Crew’s Canadian artist Pete Goupil led the backstage team of hairstylists, including stylists from Fioro, and worked with designers in creating runway-ready looks. Climbing the ladder: Paul Mitchell has promoted Jason Yates to serve as the brand’s new vice president of sales and marketing. Yates first stepped into the industry while on the salon floor over 25 years ago and has continued to fast track to the top.
