Calgary ABA 2015: Stylists, salon owners and skin care specialists headed to Calgary Stampede Park October 3 to 4 for two days of demos and education. Get all the details on this annual event here.
Goldwell Global Zoom 2015: On October 4 and 5, over 2,500 hairstylists from around the world celebrated the 2015 Global Zoom in Las Vegas. Countdown to Contessa 2016: The wait is almost over and the finalist list for this year’s Canadian Hairstylist of the Year Awards has officially been released.
Kevin.Murphy Back to Blue 2015: Kevin.Murphy held its three-day educational event from October 2 to 4 at Blue Mountain in Collingwood, Ontario. The event kicked off with a cocktail party and presentation by Kevin Murphy himself, with introductions to the brand’s four guest artists and educators who would be hosting their own educational seminars throughout the weekend. Revlon TIFF #RevTheRedCarpet: Revlon Professional, along with CND and American Crew, brought the glam to the Toronto International Film Festival this September with #RevTheRedCarpet2015. Introducing CND’s Aurora holiday collection and Orofluido Asia, the beauty bar and American Crew men’s grooming station left everyone feeling like a superstar.
Sassoon Live 2015: From October 10 to October 12, Sassoon’s International Creative Team took to London to unveil the Academy’s latest collection, Androgyny, at the brand’s Salon Live | Salon International 2015 event. Led by international creative director Mark Hayes, the team shared with attendees the brand’s creative vision and immense talent through cutting and colour seminars, which included both freehand and controlled foils demonstrations.
Unite Global Session 2015: Unite kicked off its annual Global Session at Shoreditch Town Hall in London, U.K. with more than 300 hairstylists gathering from around the world. Featuring a collective of 16 international artists, the two day event included a range of stage presentations from contemporary upstyling looks to street-style inspired cuts to men’s grooming trends, the teams led by creative director Gary Baker. Unite’s CEO and founder Andrew Dale, along with newly appointed director of business education U.K., David Drew provided commentary during the event. Check out our full coverage of the event here.

New Roles: Macadamia Beauty has appointed Nathalie Daoust to the role of business development manager for Eastern Canada. Now responsible for developing new business, managing key client relations and merchandising programs, Daoust brings over 20 years of experience in sales, business development and customer service with Valeant Cosméderme, L’Oréal, Groupe Marcelle and Northern Ontario Business Publication.
