Aug. 26 – Kozeta’s Salon and Spa and local businesses gave fresh back-to-school cuts and backpacks filled with school supplies to 50 children, as part of a unique fundraiser for the Red Door Shelter.
Sept. 7 & 8 – Models coiffed by the team from Colomer Canada took centre stage at the Luxury and Supercar Weekend in Vancouver. “We had line ups for women to get make up and hair done, plus men wanting to get their hair done too,” said Rose Weidner, Technical Development Specialist for British Columbia. Sept. 15 – La Biosthetique launched its first Vancouver-based Academy at the newly renovated Black2Blond Salon & Spa in Kitsilano on 15 September. See more photos of this incredible space here.
Sept. 25 – Congratuations to the stylists who won AIPP Awards for 2013-2014! Best Commercial went to Angelo Seminara, Best Avant Garde to Christophe Gaillet, and Best Photo to Frank Apostolopoulos. All will be honoured at the upcoming Alternative Hair Show in London, UK on October 13. (You can wiew Apostolopoulos’ collection in the September issue of Salon Magazine!)
Sept. 26 – Luc Vincent of Saco Salon in Lavalle, Que., scaled new heights at charity event, Drop Zone, sponsored by Revlon Professional Style Masters. Vincent cut a model’s hair from while suspended at the height of a 30-story building in downtown Monteal! The televised event raised money for the Quebec Soceity for Disabled Children.
