Find out which shades of colour your clients will be asking for from the Spring/Summer 2013 Fashion Week catwalks.
1. Peek-a-boo Pastels
We know hair chalking and colourful ombres ruled with clients this past year, but at Peter Som pastels appeared like subtle low lights in the models’ hair. Streaks of pale pinks, oranges, greens and other rainbow hues peeked through loose, tousled tresses. Expect this trend to be a bit hit with clients next year.
2. Red, Bright and Blue
Rafe Hardy, Artistic Creative Director for Sexy Hair, took his team of artists to New York for the Indashio S/S 2013 show to create patriotic-inspired looks to go with the show’s “American Dream” theme. Models rocked bold red, white and blue colours using Fun Sexy Hair (available March 2013), a new product that creates bright, temporary colour that is airbrushed onto hair and washes off easily with shampoo. Just think of all the fun clients can have when Canada Day rolls around!
3. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Hair Colour
Who says professionals can’t rock punk-inspired streaks? Rather than having all-over bright colours or dip-dyed ends, models at Oscar de la Renta sported colourful streaks meshed into their sophisticated, voluminous updos for a cheeky play on the colour trend. Neon pink, orange and turquoise hues were spotted along with some subtle blonds.
What do you think will be the biggest hair colour trend for spring 2012?
