The Head Shoppe celebrated its 50th anniversary during their 2017 summit on the weekend of September 30th. It was held at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront and Casino Nova Scotia. To kick off the celebration, Redken Canada presented a grand opening show, which included Jorge Joao, Cindy Duplantis and Celene Dupuis, Canada’s most demanded Redken artists.
The show displayed an array of talent and entertainment, while exploring how the decades have effected work in the industry as well as what the future will bring. The Summit Retreat’s purpose is to provide associates the chance to learn through educational classes, guest speakers, award presentations and social events.
The Head Shoppe, which is part of Salon Resource Group in Atlantic Canada, has 17 locations across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick and provides a range of high-quality and affordable salon and esthetic services. Salon Resource Group was founded in 1967 and has expanded with more than 20 salons operating under five separate brands.
“Our associates are our only asset and therefore we work with them to find out what they want and where they see themselves in the next three to five years. Once we know the answer to that, we focus on helping them achieve it—whether it be financial growth or career pathing, we have a team of people focused on helping other people achieve their goals,” says Peter Mahoney, president of Salon Resource Group.
Congratulations to the Head Shoppe on 50 years of business.
