Wella Professionals has named the recipients for Fabio Sementilli’s #ICAN Scholarship program.
The focus of the Fabio Sementilli #ICAN Scholarship program, sponsored by Wella Hairdressers at Heart, is to offer the educational experience of a lifetime to up-and-coming stylists.
Sementilli was an internationally recognized and well-respected hairstylist and industry leader with a strong passion for education. As the VP of education for Wella, Sementilli was one of the driving forces behind the brand’s Hairdressers at Heart program. Through the #ICAN scholarship program, Wella honours Sementilli’s legacy for mentoring and teaching hairstylists.
Scholarship recipients are given the opportunity to attend a TrendVision 2018 Editorial two-day seminar at a Wella Studio in Los Angeles or New York, where they will receive mentoring and training before entering the 2018 North American TrendVision Awards.
Congratulations to Tanya Choe from Brenton Lee Salon in Pasadena, Calif., Dorothy Wrightsman of Bellus Academy in Poway, Calif. and Nick Themistocleous, from Salon Afif in Toronto.
“What Fabio meant to me and to all of us cannot be put into words,” says Themistocleous. “It really is an honour to have been chosen for the first Fabio Sementilli #ICAN scholarship, and I will do everything in my power to make him proud and live up to the legacy that he left behind.”
