Wella Professionals’ 2017 International TrendVision Awards (ITVA) is a competition that celebrates and unites hairstylists worldwide. The international event took place on October 14 at London’s Excel, where finalists competed live, each one aiming to score a win for their respective country.
The event attracted nearly 2,000 guests from around the world and challenged 82 finalists from 44 countries to showcase their ultimate creativity and skills in the categories of Color Vision or Creative Vision. Winners were awarded platinum, gold, silver and bronze, in each category. In addition to the two competition categories, the People’s Choice award recipient went to the finalist who received the most votes through social media.
The judging for each category is based on the overall vision, look and the colour techniques that were used. For the Color Vision category judging was led by Wella Professionals’ new Global Color Ambassador Andreas Kurkowitz.
“Wella TrendVision is a true celebration of color, craft and inspiration, a spectacular platform for creativity where up-and-coming stylists and colorists are fully recognized,” said Michelle Mason, Senior Vice President Education & Professional Development, Coty Professional Beauty.
