Hairstylists and beauty professionals across North America gathered around their computer screens last night to find out the winners of the 2020 Beauty Envision Awards.
The annual photo-based hair and beauty competition is open to salon professionals who are ready to influence the industry with their creativity.
Hosted by Wella, the awards show was originally scheduled to be held in Las Vegas. However as with many other industry events, it was transformed into a virtual show due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was held on Sunday, August 9, 2020 on Wella Education’s Facebook page.
This year’s Beauty Envision Awards served as a culmination of Wella’s efforts to support salon professionals and their clients. With money saved from switching from a live to virtual event, the funds were reallocated to fundraisers including the Professional Beauty Association COVID-19 Relief Fund and The Loveland Foundation via the Fractured Not Broken fundraiser.
Among this year’s panel of esteemed judges were Wella Professionals brand ambassador Patricia Nikole, balayage expert Candy Shaw and our very own Contessa host, Bill Rowley!
A special shoutout to Lauren Wilde from St. Albert, Alta., the winner of Canadian Color Artist of the Year and Valvano Salon from St. Catharines, Ont. which took home the title of Salon Team of the Year.
All winners received a $5,000 Visa gift card and Pro products from ProfessionalStore.com.
Congratulations to all the winners!
