The winners of the 36th annual Contessa Awards were announced on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
Held at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, the awards gala was hosted by Toronto-based hairstylist and TV personality Palma N’Sheluvzit and featured the announcement of the photo-based competition’s 26 award winners.
Among the event’s festivities, the night featured four spectacular stage presentations from Contessa Hall of Fame award recipient Tony Ricci, Sassoon Academy Toronto, HOB Academy for Wella Company, and Schwarzkopf Professional.
The evening began with a jam-packed cocktail reception with a red-carpet hosted by Toronto-based hairstylist and salon owner Sal Leonetti, and a lively after-party, presented by Salon.
Congratulations to all winners! Special shout-outs to Breanne Gershon for her hat trick wins in Alberta Hairstylist, Avant Garde Hairstylist and Canadian Colourist; Derrick Rutherford, who walked away with two wins in Multicultural Hairstylist and Texture Hairstylist; and Tina Casciato, who won her second-consecutive Contessa award for Master Colourist and was also named the winner of the Freestyle award.
