Look beyond print publications for hair inspiration with these three online tools!
1. Pinterest
Pinterest is a hairstylist’s paradise. Beyond finding some incredible do-it-yourself tutorials from amateurs, a lot of salons and brands are also sharing professional and avant garde hair inspiration as well. (Not to mention Salon Magazine is also on the pin board site. You’re following our boards, right?)
It’s also a great way to storyboard and organize styles for an easy visual reference later.
2. Tumblr
Tumblogs (blogs hosted on the mini-blogging site) are visually-based blog rolls featuring carefully culled collections of images from around the web. If you’re looking for more street-style hair inspiration, some of our favourites that you may want to follow include Hair Wars, Fuck Yeah-Hair and We Heart Hair.
3. SalonMagazine.ca
You didn’t think we’d make a list and forget to include our collections and Contessa gallery did you?
Not only can you see award-winning hair from stylists around the globe (and many of the gorgeous collections we feature in our print edition), but we also post one exclusively online collection every week as well (plus all of the extra collection photos we couldn’t fit into print).
