UNITE opened its first salon in San Diego in January 2014. Inspired by a rustic-chic style, the 4,000 square foot space is meant to serve as a premiere UNITE hair salon, a teaching center and a charitable initiative. All proceeds are donated to the San Diego Padres baseball team’s charity, which supports underprivileged children and animal shelters. It’s also an eco-conscious space, and was made using stained concrete floors and recycled wood, and has digital tablets loaded with magazines to reduce paper clutter.
UNITE Hair Founder Andrew Dale, says “The UNITE mission has always been to provide educational support to the hairstyling community. In this new space, salon owners will be invited to attend custom programs to learn how to thrive in the market based on their own unique strengths. Stylists will also have the opportunity to train in the latest trends and techniques at our cutting-edge new salon.”
