After receiving hundreds of entries from across Canada, the United States and Puerto Rico, Wella has announced its North American finalists for the 2026 TrendVision Awards.
For this year’s photo-based competition, entrants were encouraged to create work that embraced the Monochromatic theme, combining minimalism with intention—spotlighting one colour family with multiple textures and tones for looks that are modern, elevated and confident.
The competition features two categories: Editorial Transformation spotlights haircutting and challenges artists who have a strong editorial eye to create shape, structure, texture and silhouettes that convey a cohesive vision with suitability for the model. Color Craft Transformation is based on technical precision and focuses on depth, dimension and movement within a singular tonal range. Artists are encouraged to explore how one shade can be transformed into an elevated result.
Entries were judged on the overall execution of the Monochromatic theme, colour and cut choice, quality, and suitability, along with the overall beauty of the hair, colour, condition, shine and style.

The winners will be announced at the House of Wella event in New York on October 19.
