On October 3rd and 4th, hairstylists from around the world tuned in to the Kao Salon Virtual Experience—Kao Salon Division’s digital event full of creativity and inspiration.

The inspirational Artist Sessions were led by brand ambassadors, educators, award-winning salons and teams, such as Mario Krankl, X-presion Creativos, Oribe and more.

The Academy Sessions showcased Kao’s academies around the world and featured a team performance from each location: Milan, Frankfurt, New York and Hong Kong.
The #CreativityNeverStops sessions put the spotlight on Kao artists (including Canadians Edwin Johnston, Michael Shire and Frank Cini!) who shared their artistry in the form of technical demos—showing off their best cut, colour and styling techniques.
The two-day event also consisted of various panels, including a sustainability panel led by Shane Price from Green Circle Salons, a Future Talks session with global creative director John Moroney, who discussed different topics for the future growth of salon owners and stylists with industry experts, including Dominic Pratt, the company’s global president, and Daniel Kaner, president and co-founder of Oribe.

The finale was the Global Creative Awards, where Goldwell’s global ambassador, Angelo Seminara, debuted his new collection: Hair Every Wear. The collection is inspired by Seminara’s curiosity surrounding nature and the romance of wilderness. The evening also featured the announcement of the competition’s winners, with stylists from around the world who were rewarded for their excellence in colour, creativity and more.
