The International Salon and Spa Expo (ISSE) took place on March 14-16 2021 with its first-ever digital experience! Packed with education and presentations, hairstylists and beauty professionals from across the globe tuned it to capture the event and take in all the interactive education sessions.
Some of the top sessions included Wella Professionals’ “Wella Loves Texture,” a class celebrating textured hair from cutting to toning, glossing and lightening and “French Accents,” L’Oréal Professionnel’s class hosted by international artist Jessica Todd exploring balayage.
We also loved Moroccanoil’s class on accessories hosted by global creative director Antonio Corral Calero, Redken’s sessions hosted by global artistic ambassador, Sam Villa and brand ambassador, Sean Godard and Matrix’s colour classes.
While all the classes were educational and captivating, we wanted to give a special shout out to Canadian hair artist and salon owner Kelly O’Leary who hosted Pulp Riot’s class about the brand’s product line and how to best use it behind the chair. We also wanted to shout out Toronto-based colourist Jan Patanao who co-hosted Kevin.Murphy’s colour class, sharing her advice on sectioning and angles in order to create the perfect blonde look!
We’re already looking forward to ISSE 2022 slated for January 29-31 in Long Beach, California!
